In the U.S., King County’s Solid Waste Division initiated the list which recognizes businesses for strong internal recycling programs, among them Noetix Corp. and Google.

Redmond (Washington) – As is reported by Noetix Corp., a software provider that automatically generates business intelligence (BI) content from enterprise applications, the company has been selected for King County’s third annual ‘Best Workplaces for Recycling and Waste Reduction’ list.

To qualify as a Best Workplace for Recycling, companies must meet at least 10 criteria from a list of more than 30 good business recycling practices that range from placing recycling bins by every desk to collecting food scraps for composting.

King County releases the Best Workplaces for Recycling & Waste Reduction list annually. The goal of the list is to recognize the top recyclers and waste reducers, and help motivate others in the local business community to improve recycling and waste practices.
