Riga - End of November in the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, regulations project prepared by the Ministry of the Environment “Amendments on CM regulations No 243 April 6, 2004 'Requirements for recycling of the used vehicles and environmental requirements for recycling businesses'” was announced.

This regulations project updates the reference to regulations acts defining the order of declaring the A, B or C category polluting activities and getting permissions for A and B category polluting activities.

The project updates the reference to regulations acts on emission of polluting substances in the water, on ozone depleting substances and fluorine greenhouse gases as well on hazardous waste calculation, identification, storage, packing, labelling and logistics.

Regulations project also defines that car manufacturer (or empowered person) drafts and submits the plan on recycling of the used cars according to the norms. It also defines the documents which should be added to the report regarding granulation process.
