Vantaa, Finland - A new report titled "The increasing value of waste in the UK" assesses the waste management sector in the UK and describes opportunities for increasing the value from waste. It is a £7 billion sector, with a growing turnover and the ability to produce and sustain attractive margins. The top twenty waste management companies are reviewed, together with the contribution of smaller companies with strong financial results. The report notes that the five largest waste management companies in the UK already have just over 50 percent of the total market, and more merger and acquisition activity is expected to come back onto the agenda.
