Vienna - The second edition of the ISWA Landfill Operational Guidelines (OGs) is now available for download. This document has been prepared by the ISWA working group on Landfill and is an update to the 2002 OGs. It aims at providing general guidance for improved landfill operational practices without serving as a strictly technical document.

The Landfill Operational Guidelines was first produced in 2002 as a loose leaf document to assist waste managers with daily operations of landfills. At that time the OGs were prepared to provide general guidance for improving operational practices.

This second edition keeps that same purpose and has been updated to reflect current operational practices that are now more commonly used. This document has been prepared by the ISWA Working Group on Landfill.

The updated Operational Guidelines can be downloaded under iswa.org.
