Podgorica/ Montenegro - A meeting which was attended by the director of the Agency Daliborka Pejovic, her assisstants of departments and representatives of the World Bank was held in the Environmental Protection Agency on 22th June 2010. The meeting aimed at the consideration of possible and implementation of future projects in the context of World Bank support in rebuilding "environmental black spots" in Montenegro.

Representatives of the World Bank got familiar with the responsabiities and obligations of the Agency, organizational structure, its activities and future projects. Special attention was given to the issue of the biggest "environmental black spots" in Montenegro: KAP, Steel plant in Niksic, former zinc and lead mine "Brskovo" in Mojkovac, power plant in Pljevlja, flotation arid land "Suplja stijena",Gradac, and shypyard in Bijela.

After considering the most optimal solution for the rehabilitation of the biggest "environmental black spots", it was agreed that the representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency and World Bank visit these places in the next days, in order to get familiar with the mentioned issues.

Possible solutions for solving the problem will be analized in the next months, and also to determine the situation and make a rivew of obligations and access to database. Environmental Protection Agency supports this kind of access and once more confirms the commitment to solve the current environmental issues with the relevant international organizations.
