Vantaa, Finland -- Pöyry's water and environment business group has won a contract for wastewater disposal and solid waste management for four provincial towns in Vietnam. The assignment, which is worth 3.5 million euros, is expected to be completed in 2017. It is funded by the German KfW Development Bank and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.

Pöyry has already carried out feasibility studies for the wastewater disposal projects and proposed sustainable solutions, taking into account environmental, socioeconomic and technical aspects. The consulting and engineering company, headquartered in Vantaa, has carried out various projects in the water and waste sector in Asia, which have helped to increase environmental protection and improve the quality of life of the area’s inhabitants.
The work on the latest wastewater schemes will be implemented in cooperation with Pöyry's local partner ICC. The solid waste component will be led by Pöyry’s consortium partner IGIP with support from their subcontractor Anviet. Quelle: Finnfacts / Pöyry Group
