One of the major business events in the waste sector in Bulgaria is Save the Planet. It will be held in the period 28-30 March 2012 in Sofia. The events aim is to promote the latest technologies and find best practices to successfully manage waste in a cost effective and environmental friendly manner in South-East Europe. Austria is a focus country for the second time and will be presented at the Exhibition in an own Austrian Pavilion. The high-level three day Conference will gather leading industry players to address and discuss challenges and strategies for waste prevention, waste management, landfilling and energy recovery. A focus will be put also on the public private partnership as it is the best scheme used to finance recycling facilities and attract foreign investors.
