Aachen -- The final results of the SATURN EU-funded project will be presented at the international sensor sorting conference to be held in Aachen on the 18th and 19th April 2012. This is the final workshop for dissemination of results of this highly successful demonstration plant, which focuses on the enhanced recovery of non-ferrous metals from waste using sensor-based sorting technology.

Starting in August 2009, a pilot plant has been installed and demonstrated in Salzgitter, Germany, and in operation since October 2009. This innovative sensor sorting process is being tested and optimised under real market conditions.

The workshop on Thursday 19th April 2012, starting at 4pm in the Eurogress Conference centre at Aachen, is mainly targeted at waste managers, operators, industry and municipal waste managers working or wishing to work in this area.

Any additional information and registration form can be found under rwth-aachen.de or by contacting Saturn@rwth-aachen.de.
